Reassembling parts
12. Reassembling Parts
Some parts of your device are designed to easily come off to help prevent damage to the parts or the device. You can reassemble them as described below.
To insert the humidifier seal
- Place the seal into the lid.
- Press down along all edges of the seal until it is firmly in place.
To reassemble the humidifier lid
- Insert one side of the lid into the pivot hole of the base.
- Slide the other side down the ridge until it clicks into place.
WARNING
- Arrange the air tubing so that it does not twist around the head or neck.
- Regularly inspect power cords, cables, and the power supply for damage or signs of wear. Discontinue use and replace if damaged.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
- If you notice unexplained changes in performance, unusual sounds, or if the device or power supply is dropped, mishandled, or the enclosure is broken, discontinue use and contact your care provider or ResMed Service Centre.
- Do not open or modify the device. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repairs must only be performed by an authorised ResMed service agent.
- Beware of electrocution. Do not immerse the device, power supply, or power cord in water. If liquid is spilled onto the device, unplug it and allow all parts to dry before reuse.
- Supplemental oxygen must not be used while smoking or in the presence of an open flame.
- Always ensure the device is turned on and airflow is generated before turning on the oxygen supply. Turn off oxygen before turning off the device.
- Do not perform maintenance tasks while the device is in operation.
- The device should not be used adjacent to or stacked with other equipment unless normal operation is verified in that configuration.
- The use of accessories other than those specified is not recommended and may affect device performance or safety.
- Regularly check the antibacterial filter for moisture or contamination, particularly during humidification.
⚠️ Caution
- Use only ResMed parts and accessories with the device.
- Use only vented masks recommended by ResMed or the prescribing doctor. Ensure mask vent holes remain clear.
- Do not place the device where it can be bumped or where someone may trip over the power cord.
- Blocking the air tubing or air inlet during operation may cause overheating.
- Keep the area around the device clean and clear to prevent blockage of the air inlet or power supply unit.
- Do not place the device on its side, as water may enter the device.
- Incorrect system setup may result in incorrect mask pressure readings. Ensure the system is correctly assembled.
- Do not use bleach, chlorine, alcohol, or scented cleaning solutions. These may damage the device and void the warranty.
- If using the humidifier, place the device on a level surface lower than your head.
- Allow the humidifier to cool for at least ten minutes before handling.
- Ensure the humidifier is empty before transporting the device.
Note: Any serious incidents involving this device should be reported to ResMed and the competent authority in your country.
